Designing a sports-fan playground in the heart of NOLA
Turner Sports needed to bring the hype to NCAA Men’s Final Four Fan Fest in New Orleans. After a 13-year partnership and the first Fan Fest to return in two years, the event team needed to make the shot, and build excitement across four days. With a short timeframe, and labor shortages, this event was coming down to the buzzer.

Challenge
The team designed a perfect play space with two connected sports realms in one arena. Walking through the classic wooden gym floor, buzzers buzzed, fans cheered, and basketballs bounced — fans felt like they were playing in their own tournament. Attendees could explore, compete in various games, snap pics, play in a tricked-out arcade, and score free swag!
A sports-fan playground
From 360 photo booths and cutting the net to high jump contests and a wing-eating challenge, every inch of the Fan Fest was a slam dunk. Not to mention big enthusiastic crowds during the .75 mile dribble contest.
"What an awesome tournament and turnout! New Orleans locals and families from all around brought the hype and we loved all the energy.” — Steve S., Director Special Events Group
