Freeman®, the world’s leading provider of live events and brand experiences, announces that CEO Bob Priest-Heck has been named on Meetings Today’s list of Meetings Trendsetters 2020. The annual award acknowledges twenty leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the events industry.
Priest-Heck was recognized for his leadership founding the Go LIVE Together coalition. Go LIVE Together supports actions that will aid our industry’s recovery from COVID-19, focusing on health and safety, impact, and legislation. Founded in April, the coalition now has over 2,500 members from 1,500 organizations, representing an industry that supports 6.6 million jobs in the United States.
“As COVID-19 brought an abrupt shutdown of live events globally, Freeman knew we had a responsibility to accelerate our industry’s recovery from its devastating impact,” said Freeman CEO Bob Priest-Heck. “By combining our efforts, we have established a louder, more unified voice and now have a solid lobbying arm advocating for our industry on Capitol Hill.”
Priest-Heck tasked Sue Sung, Freeman Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, with bringing the vision for Go LIVE Together to life. Sung has been instrumental in driving industry adoption for the coalition by mobilizing Go LIVE Together initiatives, securing financial support, and ensuring that the economic impact of events is communicated to and prioritized by legislators.
