Board Member
Roger Nanney is a global leader with expertise in professional services and extensive experience serving mid-size businesses, private companies, and multinational public organizations. He has a proven track record for scaling businesses, market expansion, talent development, and corporate governance.
Roger currently serves on the board of publicly traded Blackbaud and Priority 1 Holdings. He is a Board Trustee for both the PGA of America Foundation and the University of South Carolina Business Partnership Foundation.
In a nearly 40-year career with Deloitte, ultimately as Vice Chairman and Senior Partner, Roger served as the firm’s National Managing Partner of one Deloitte’s fastest growing segments, Deloitte Private, the $3B+ business unit charged with serving privately held enterprises across the U.S. He stayed current on trends and issues facing board members and CFO’s today, through his role as a senior partner in Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness and facilitator in Deloitte’s CFO Transition Lab.
Roger invests his time and resources to promote the University of South Carolina around the globe. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Carolina’s Promise Campaign, raising over $1B. Roger was a leader in the effort to develop the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas TX, ultimately serving as Board Chair. He was Board Chair and Campaign Chair for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and United Way of Tampa Bay and served as a Board Member of the United Way of America.
Roger earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of South Carolina. He is a CPA, CMA and a member of National Association of Corporate Directors.
